Jean Michel GARACHON est un peintre qui mêle graphisme, calligraphie, humour et poésie dans ses œuvres.
Il débute son expérience artistique dans le vitrail et la restauration d'art au sein de divers ateliers, puis à son compte dans des créations originales.
Durant les années 1990, Jean-Michel se passionne pour l'architecture d'intérieur et le design. Il crée de nombreux meubles aux courbes originales, couleurs vives et au style singulier.
Au cours des années 2000, il développe dans ses peintures un style graphique où se retrouvent des influences de l'art africain, précolombien, de la bande dessinée, mais aussi son expérience de maître verrier.
Ses tableaux proposent au public un jeu de formes imbriquées qui dévoilent autant de facettes que d'histoires, de personnages et de situations. Ce «caché-dévoilé » est mis en avant par le traitement de la couleur vive en aplats texturés.
Depuis 2009, Jean-Michel travaille en parallèle de ses toiles sur une série de dessins dans lesquels sa maîtrise du tracé et de la calligraphie lui permet de donner vie aux idéogrammes et formes graphiques. Dans ses compositions, l'abstrait s'anime au rythme de la musique, une source d'inspiration très importante de l'artiste.
Jean-Michel effectue, au cours de l'année 2015, plusieurs performances au sein du spectacle Danseuse &toiles de Désirée THOMPSON à l'UNESCO.
Il a participé aux Salons d’Automne de Paris en 2005, 2006, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 à l’exposition d’Art Actuel France au Centre national des Arts de Tokyo en 2016 et 2020 et à l'exposition du Salond'Automne à Xi'an en Chine en 2019.

Jean-Michel Garachon is a painter who mixes artwork, calligraphy, humor and poetry in his works.
He begin his artistic work in stained glass and art restoration in various workshops, and then on his own in original creations.
During the 1990s, Jean-Michel developps a passion for interior architecture and design. He creates many pieces of furniture with curves that are out of theordinary, bright colors and singular style.
During the 2000s, he developes in his paintings a graphic style that combinesare influences of African and pre-Columbian art, comics, but also his experience as master glassmaker.
His paintings offer the public a game of interwoven shapes that reveal facets of stories, charactersand situations. This "hidden-unveiled" is put forward by thetreatment of the bright color in textured areas.
Since 2009, Jean-Michel works in parallel with his paintings on a series of drawings in which his mastery of drawing and calligraphy allow him to give life to the ideograms and graphic forms. In his compositions, the abstract comes alive to the rhythm of music, a very important source of inspiration for the artist.
Jean-Michel started painting live at public events using multiple experimental techniques and materials, during the year 2015, in the show Danseuse &toiles of Désirée THOMPSON at UNESCO.
Participated in Paris Salons d’Automne of 2005, 2006, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and in the art exhibition France at the National Art Center in Tokyo in 2016 and 2020 and in the Salon d'Automne exhibition to Xi'an in China in 2019.
